150403 – Elizabeth and Insulin Sensitivity

One of the greatest health concerns in America besides heart disease is Diabetes… Type 1 and Type 2… if you don’t know the difference I challenge you to do a little research.  Diabetes, in basic terms, is the body’s inability to deliver sugar in the blood into the cell’s energy furnaces (mitochondria) creating ATP for the organism.  Insulin plays a major role in getting sugar out of the blood and “burned” in the muscles.  What we eat determines this to a great extent.  Great article HERE on “insulin sensitivity”.  Everyone interested in increasing/stabilizing their energy levels should read… ie. EVERYONE.
