151111 – Veterans Day

Can you even remotely fathom being a 19 year old kid on this amphibious lander about to run out onto Omaha Beach under heavy nazi machine-gun fire, with nothing but a 8-shot semi-auto rifle and a bayonet???  I can’t.  When you see an old man in public wearing one of those black trucker caps that reads “WWII Veteran” or “Korean Veteran”, go up to them, shake their hand, thank them for their service, and start up a conversation… something I’ve been doing for years now.  You’ll be surprised at what these great men are willing/wanting to share. Honor them by showing gratitude and NEVER FORGETTING their sacrifice and bravery.
